So why “The Development Alchemists”? Most people know that alchemy has something to do with turning base metal into gold and so could easily imagine our idea is to take every day organisations and turn them into something more precious…. True alchemists were actually less interested in riches and more interested in knowledge and enlightenment – Perceiving this as more valuable than gold.
Each alchemist has an Opus Magnum – a great work – for us it is the chance to reveal the latent potential that exists within each person and organisation we work with.
We believe that we can add real value to organisations and people through learning processes sometimes working in groups and providing training, on other occasions working with individuals in a coaching capacity. In the "Services" page we describe some of the things we have done so far.

It's all a matter of perspective you know.....
The principles about how we work are quite simple. In order for
learning to take place, learners undergo a process of building on
their experience by reflection, which will lead to a recognition
of patterns (theories or principles), conclusions will be drawn about these patterns and this may lead to some testing (either in
abstract or in practise). This has the potential to lead to some
new experience…. and learning. Receiving information alone
does not constitute learning. Simply hearing a presentation does
not in itself guarantee that any learning has taken place.
